The Gentle Gathering
A winter sanctuary for women
I would like to invite you to join me for a deeply nourishing half-day retreat held in a magical and peaceful garden studio in Woodside Park, North London.
In the heart of winter, when everything moves a little slower and the light fades early, we are invited to gather, to rest, and to draw warmth from one another. In Scandinavia, where the winters are long and dark, people have learned to turn inward together, finding light in shared moments of comfort. They call it hygge, the art of creating warmth through simple togetherness. Inspired by this spirit, The Gentle Gathering offers a sanctuary where you can rest, connect, and be cared for, a day to find your own sense of inner hygge here in North London.
You are welcome to come just as you are, perhaps with a friend, or simply to be among other women.
The day will be an invitation to nourish body and soul, to move with ease, rest deeply, eat well, and enjoy the quiet beauty of winter together.

What to expect
This retreat is a gentle invitation to pause and be cared for.
You are welcome to come exactly as you are, with a friend or on your own, and allow yourself to be held by warmth, nourishment, and stillness.
All the practices are guided with a trauma-sensitive approach, allowing you to move, rest, and create at your own pace. The intention is for you to feel fully supported, grounded, and nourished throughout the day.
The pace will be soft and unhurried. You will be invited to move with ease, rest deeply, enjoy a wholesome meal, and take part in a beautiful art-based creative experience that nurtures imagination and expression. Everything you need will be provided.

This is a boutique retreat, limited to six participants, offering an intimate and personal experience where each woman is seen, welcomed, and held with care.

The flow of the day
We will begin our morning with mindful movement, gentle yoga, and somatic practices to awaken the body and bring spaciousness to the breath. As warmth spreads through the body, the practice will flow into guided rest, offering space to replenish energy and soften into stillness.
A nourishing homemade vegetarian lunch will follow, shared around the table in good company. This will be a time for connection, laughter, and the simple pleasure of eating together.
Our afternoon will open into a creative space where art and mindfulness meet. Through colour, texture, and simple artistic expression, you will be invited to explore your inner landscape and give shape to what wishes to emerge. No artistic experience is needed, only curiosity and presence.
