ECYC teacher training redefines how we share yoga and mindfulness with children, shifting from traditional teaching methods to a more inclusive, experiential, and heart-centred approach.

A Holistic Approach to Children's Well-Being

Children today face increasing challenges - from academic pressures and social dynamics to emotional struggles in an ever-evolving digital world. Research highlights that yoga and mindfulness significantly support stress reduction, emotional regulation, and self-esteem.

Alongside yoga and mindfulness, creativity plays a vital role in a child’s mental and emotional well-being. Studies show that creative expression enhances problem-solving skills, cognitive flexibility, and emotional resilience, helping children navigate challenges with curiosity and confidence. Combining with yoga and mindfulness, children develop a stronger sense of identity, emotional intelligence, and self-compassion.

What You Will Gain from This Training?

ECYC teacher training led by Ayala Homossany is more than just learning to teach yoga - it’s about developing the confidence, creativity, and adaptability to share yoga and mindfulness in a way that truly resonates with children.
By completing this training you will:

* Refine your teaching approach - Move beyond traditional methods to a child-centred, intuitive, and creativity driven way of sharing yoga and mindfulness.

* Strengthen your ability to adapt to children's unique needs - Develop an understanding of child development, emotional landscapes, and neurobiological growth, allowing you to meet children where they are with empathy and awareness.

* Expand your skill set with hands-on experience - Engage in practical exercises, peer-led teaching, and real-world applications, so you leave the course feeling equipped and ready to guide meaningful sessions.

* Deepen your personal practice to enhance your teaching - Experience firsthand how self-practice and mindfulness influence your authenticity and ability to connect with children.

* Gain tools to build and sustain your teaching journey - Whether you plan to integrate yoga into schools, studios, therapeutic settings, or community spaces, you’ll walk away with actionable steps to grow your teaching career.

Developmentally Responsive Training Approach

ECYC adapts to the developmental needs of children across different age groups (2-5 years, 5-8 years, and 8-12 years), ensuring that yoga, mindfulness, and creative practices align with their musculoskeletal, social-emotional, cognitive, and neurobiological growth.

By understanding how children’s bodies, emotions, and brains evolve, we create an approach that supports their well-being holistically. Participants will explore how to share movement, breathwork, creativity, and mindfulness in ways that resonate with each age group, fostering physical coordination, emotional resilience, cognitive flexibility, and self-awareness.

Through this developmental lens, participants will gain the tools to create engaging, supportive, and meaningful experiences that nurture children’s confidence, creativity, and emotional intelligence.

An Experiential & Collaborative Training Journey
