Before the Holidays Begin
A self care workshop for carers

The summer holidays can bring beautiful moments of connection, play, and togetherness.
They can also ask a lot from the nervous system.
More noise, more movement, more planning, less space, shifting routines, emotional demands, and very little time to reset between one moment and the next.
Before the holidays begin, I would like to offer a space to pause, exhale, and gather a few supportive practices to carry with you into the weeks ahead.
This live online workshop is designed for parents, caregivers, teachers, therapists, and anyone who spends much of their time caring for others.

Together we will explore:
• Gentle movement to release tension, fatigue, and accumulated stress
• Breath practices to support steadiness and regulation during busy or emotionally full days
• Grounding tools that can help during moments of overwhelm, overstimulation, or frustration
• Restful pauses and reflective moments that support reconnection with yourself amongst the demands of caring for others
The practices shared are intentionally practical and accessible, small moments of support that can be woven into everyday life during the holidays.

You might use them:
• Before the house wakes up
• After a challenging morning
• In the car before school pick up or activities
• During moments where you notice yourself becoming depleted or emotionally stretched
• As a way to reconnect with your breath and body in the middle of a full day
You are welcome to join exactly as you are, with your tea or coffee, in comfortable clothes, with your camera on or off.

You’ll leave with:
• Everyday practices to support you throughout the summer holidays
• A greater sense of connection to your body and breath
• Tools to help navigate stress, overwhelm, and emotional fatigue
• A feeling of being supported and replenished before the holidays begin
No previous experience with yoga or mindfulness is needed.
